I'm really bad at keep blogs.

This is something i discovered today after forgetting(again) that i have a blog. Sorry, two followers. I know it's been killing you, but i'll try to be better about it.

Today i rode Shweesh for the first time in a month. This is not due to my lack of horse ownership skills(which i do not lack, FYI. ), but due to snow and abscesses. A few days before we got like a foot and change of snow, Ashely got an abscess and was not able to be ridden for a few days, and then we got snow, and then i had a riding team meet, so today we were reunited. I had said hello and given her treats at least once a week, but i missed riding her. After having her fellow field mate shove past me and get loose, causing Ashley to spook at my car, and then spook at the loose horse, and then scoot forward and step on my foot, i rode. My toe didn't hurt that bad(little sore now, but i'll live). I was a big brave girl.

When we first started trotting, the monsters that live in the woods came out.

We danced along that fence line almost every time we passed it as a defense mechanism.

She decided today she would rather not work her top line, and that she was just gonna go to the races and jump if she was startled, which happened frequently. The more we worked, the better she got though, and our last little course, she landed on all of her leads, and got all the spots i wanted her to get. I love my pony. Even if she's freaking out, and going fast, but not being strong(speed and speed+power is fun. personally on her, i prefer speed+power though. Oh well.) and really running over the jumps more than jumping them, i still love her. I rode her for the first time in a month, and i am still alive, able to inform all 2 of my followers.

That speaks for itself.

I should probably write another blog.

So, a few weeks ago, i started(just a little) riding this holstiner(sp...?) tb cross mare, and we get along fairly well. We're still in the "NO I'M RIGHT" stage, but we're working out of it. I took her to a mini show a few weeks ago after only riding her for like a total or 45 mins. prior to said show. We got one fifth in one of the two 2'6" classes we did. There were some nice horses there(for a mini show), so i was pleased.
This past saturday, i rode The Princess cross country, and she was soooo happy to get out. Her nose was practically on the ground, and i was holding the buckle. She jumped everything, even though a log by some apparently monster-donkeys was not too appealing, she still did it. Out last jump toward home was a novice jump, and she was very proud of herself, so she decided a little victory gallop was called for.

I agreed.

Today before my lesson, when bringing Ashley up from her field, there was a DIFFERENT herd of monster-donkeys, which she thought she could ward off if she made her neck go as tall as possible, trot around me in a circle, and snort loudly three times.

The donkeys proceeded to follow us a short distance along the fence line.

She was pretty good in my lesson. A little fresh in the flat because one of her boy toys who lives in the field next to hers was in the lesson also. She is a big flirt. She calmed down eventually though, and our lesson was very successful.

I am going to florida tomorrow. I really hope it doesn't rain all weekend. That would not be fun.

LATER.

Blog Vay-cay.

Wow, I kind of forgot I had a blog.

I'm sorry,to the probably three people who read this.

One of which being my mother.

But I digress.

I showed Winny in her first horse show ever this past Tuesday! She was wonderful. In schooling, she did her second and third canters EVER, in her entire life, in a place she had never been before. Then we did one walk-trot pleasure class, and she got fourth out of ten! It was a very successful day.
Then, I got to ride(just two unjudged over fences rounds) this little POA mare who I had never ridden before and she was very good as well, and SO MUCH FUN. I love being small. Ponies are awesome.
I will try and blog more in the future. I must apologize again to anyone one who's following my horse endeavors(AKA my mom.). Until then!

It rained today

Alot. When i was driving home. I almost had to pull over, but then i took a right and it stopped.

Trippy.

Anyways, i sat on Winny today! We walked around the round pin with her owner leading us. She was absolutely wonderful. She was also introduced to "polls" when i was free lounging her. First she was like "wtf?" then she was like "AH!" and then she did it fine.

The princess was a speed demon today. But, at least she wasn't spooking. It was pretty fun.

OH!

This past Tuesday i jumped her(Ashley) bareback cross country. She was perfect to a T.

I love my pony <3

Weekend Shenanigans

Well, on saturday i had a hunter show. We ended up doing okay, but the princess had a little break down in our warm up division and decided "oh, i can jump a log cabin in cross country, but a white gate with flowers-OH MY GOD NO FREAKING WAY." but in the end, all worked out.

Sunday, i started training that thoroughbred Winny. While we started off a little shaky(i was unaware of the fact that if you took her to the round pin without training gear, she thought it was play time) we ended up quite successfully. She began to respond to my voice commands, and didnt seem so nervous. I think it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

I have decided i would love for Winny's show name to be My Fair Lady. She is very sweet, and loves people, and it just kind of suits her. We had some bonding time before i got her all geared up, and now i can't see her as anything else.

Again, i should be doing history homework, but i would rather not. Suppose i should. So, i will post more about any new adventures soon!

My first blog!

So right now I should be studying about the Civil Rights Movement, but I decided I would rather be doing anything else. This blog will basically be follow(but not excluding other things) my equine adventures! I will hopefully be starting to train a horse(Three year old Thoroughbred mare) with some who I have been working with for probably like 7 or 8 years? I'm 16, and i started riding and exercising this person's ponies right after I started leasing when i was like 8. And i just thought this would be a fun new way to record progress!

First a little about me:
16, junior in high school(which i will not be stating because i dont want to get any creepy blog stalkers creepin' me.)
I have been riding for nine years as of this march.
I intend to train horses, give lessons whatever for a living.
I would love to major in equine studies.
I have leased every color of pony(I'm 5'1.25"-i can ALWAYS ride ponies.) in the rainbow.
I have own pony-14.2, 14 year old, arab welsh mare named Ashley(or registered as Personal Charm) but is referred to as The Princess.
I do hunters, some jumpers, and eventing
I am going to start my homework now, because i really hate doing homework past 10 PM.
